If you've encountered black images on Zaap, don't worry!
This guide will help you understand why this issue occurs and provide you with two effective methods to fix it.
Zaap utilizes link thumbnails stored on a hosting server to enhance the speed and efficiency of zaap pages.
However, during a recent migration to a new hosting service, some of the link images stored in the old hosting services were not carried over.
As a result, black images may appear on Zaap pages
To resolve the black image issue on Zaap, you can choose one of the following methods:
1. Upload Images Manually
2. Create a New Link Block
To assist you in manually uploading link thumbnails, we have prepared a comprehensive step-by-step guide.
This guide will walk you through the process of updating link thumbnails on Zaap, ensuring that the correct images are displayed
If the manual upload process seems cumbersome or you have a large number of links with missing thumbnails, you can consider creating new link blocks for those links.
This method allows you to bypass the need for individual thumbnail uploads.
Follow the steps below:
1. Access your Zaap account and go to the page displaying the black images.
2. Identify the links with missing thumbnails.
3. Instead of attempting to update the existing link blocks, create new link blocks for each affected link.
4. Ensure that the new link blocks include the correct URLs and any necessary descriptions.
5. Save the changes, and the new link blocks should now display the correct thumbnails on the Zaap pages.
⚠️ Note: Duplicating link blocks will not resolve the black image issue. It is necessary to either manually upload the missing thumbnails or create new link blocks.
